Coast Guard, Vacation, Church

Ritz crackers taste good with lemon supreme icing and milk.

My older brother is considering joining the Coast Guard. I don't think anyone in my extended family or cousins has been in any kind of service to the government (aside from my husband's side). My parents weren't too thrilled, but are going to talk to him about his options today.

He is on suspension from his job and can't afford to not be working. He lives alone and has some bills. He has some direction that includes finishing up his associate degree next semester, but he doesn't want to move back home and if he joins the Coast Guard he needs to decide if he is going to join soon. They don't take anyone over 27. His birthday is in a few months.

My husband Drew is on vacation until Monday. We've been sleeping in and watching too many movies (Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!!!). It's been nice actually being able to go out and do things. It's going to be lonely next week when he goes back. I'll go into shock for a few days because of being lonely.

A happy note, we're going to church Sunday and starting the fun adventure of finding our own church to go. We'll be realer adults! Yay!
